Context
A field-service company wanted a mobile tool for technicians to log site visits and capture data on the go, mostly in areas with patchy signal.
Problem
Native quotes were expensive and slow, with App Store review and two platforms to maintain. Paper forms were being lost and entered a day late, if at all.
Approach
A Progressive Web App: installable to the home screen, offline-first so forms work with no signal and sync when connection returns, deployed to the web with no App Store gatekeeping.
Outcome
- Delivered at roughly 30 to 40% of the quoted native cost and timeline.
- Adopted by 100% of field staff within about two weeks.
